Elevate Hosts New Public Television Show to Share Climate Education

“Elevating Our Stories” is a monthly series with Chicago Access Network Television (CAN TV) that tells stories of climate action in Chicago.

CHICAGO – Elevate, a nonprofit organization focused on equity through climate action, is launching a newly revised program, Elevating Our Stories, on Chicago Access Network Television (CAN TV) on the third Wednesday of each month at 6:00 p.m. CT. on Channel 27 or online. The “Elevating Our Stories” series premiered on March 15 with its first episode, which featured new research from Elevate that shows the energy-savings potential of Chicago neighborhoods. Elevate’s Director of Research and Innovation Rachel Scheu was a guest.

Each month will feature a new episode with a story about Elevate’s collaborative work on climate equity and how we make the clean energy economy’s benefits, services, and careers available to everyone, especially those often left behind. Each episode will also look into contractor and related employment opportunities and introduce a guest with a job in the clean energy economy. The new Station Manager Darrious Hillmon joined the first episode to share his vision for his new role.

“Presenting a series that tackles climate equity and provides access to Elevate’s services and resources is a collaborative effort that serves the mission of Elevate and CAN TV,” says host Sylvia Ewing.

Join us every month for “Elevating Our Stories,” available on Channel 27 or online
