2016: The Summer of Savings with Peak Time Rewards
On June 1st, 2016, Elevate Energy launched the Ameren Illinois Peak Time Rewards program. The program allows customers to earn bill credits by conserving electricity when electricity is expected to be high during “Peak Time Rewards events.”

Two events occurred this past summer, and notifications were sent out to all participants to shift their usage on August 11th, 2016 and September 7th, 2016. Ameren Illinois customers responded and raising their thermostats and avoiding large appliances during the event. By doing so, they collectively earned $71,861!
This reduction in peak energy use improves grid reliability and reduces greenhouse gas emissions from electricity generation, helping both the community and the environment.
We’re so excited that Peak Time Rewards participants are making a difference by reducing or shifting their electricity usage away from peak demand times. We can’t thank them enough for their contributions, and we look forward to another summer of savings this year!
