Tribal nations continue to be leaders in climate action. We work with tribal governments and housing entities to meet their goals for quality housing that is low-carbon through net zero energy planning, electrification projects, and technical assistance directly to tribal housing entities. Elevate is part of the Energy Advisory Committee for the Great Lakes Indian Housing Authorities (GLIHA) and is building relationships across the Midwest.
Upgrading affordable tribal housing stock is unique in that many tribal territories are in remote areas with limited access to weatherization and electrification contractors. It is imperative to ensure this stock is not left behind as we shift towards cleaner and more efficient sources of fuel.
